Data sources and notices

EntityFeed returns records from public registers. Every record carries a source object with the register, its licence and the attribution text. This page lists the sources, their licences and the notices their terms ask us to pass on.

Slovakia: Register of Legal Persons, Entrepreneurs and Public Authorities (RPO)

• Register: Register právnických osôb, podnikateľov a orgánov verejnej moci (RPO), https://rpo.minv.sk/
• Administrator: the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic, since 1 June 2026 under Act 272/2015 Coll. as amended (https://static.slov-lex.sk/static/SK/ZZ/2015/272/20260601.html). Until 31 May 2026 the register was administered by the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic.
• Licence: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode, granted by the Ministry of Interior in its API documentation, https://rpo.minv.sk/rpo-api-doc.html.
• Statistical Office: the Act has the Statistical Office provide the register with the statistical code of the main economic activity from its statistical register. The live RPO API is still served at api.statistics.sk, and its response still carries the Statistical Office's licence notice (quoted below, as returned on 6 November 2026).

• 1. ŠÚ SR ako správca informačného systému RPO uplatňuje na použitie sprístupnených údajov z RPO uvedených v § 7 ods. 2 a § 7a ods. 4 zákona č. 272/2015 Z. z. o registri právnických osôb, podnikateľov a orgánov verejnej moci a o zmene a doplnení niektorých zákonov (ďalej len „zákon o registri právnických osôb“) medzinárodnú verejnú licenciu Creative Commons Attribution License (cc-by) 4.0 (ďalej len „verejná licencia“).
• 2. Predmetom verejnej licencie sú sprístupnené údaje z RPO prostredníctvom webového sídla ŠÚ SR v zmysle § 7 ods. 2 a § 7a ods. 4 zákona o registri právnických osôb.
• 3. ŠÚ SR udeľuje súhlas na použitie predmetu verejnej licencie a výkon licencovaných práv („licencia“) podľa vyššie citovanej verejnej licencie.

Slovakia: local copy of the register

Slovak legal persons are answered from a copy of the register that is updated every day. If a company is not in the copy, for example a sole trader, or there is no copy, the live RPO API is used instead. A record from the copy has source.snapshot_date, the date of the newest batch of the official export applied to the copy, and its retrieved_at is that date. A record fetched live has no snapshot_date.

The copy is built from the public export of the register that the Ministry of Interior publishes (https://rpo.minv.sk/rpo-api-doc.html, section "Kompletný export registra právnických osôb"): a full export every month and a file of added or changed records every day. The Ministry licenses it under CC BY 4.0. The source named, as the licence requires: the Register of Legal Persons, Entrepreneurs and Public Authorities, Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic.

What we changed, and when:

• We selected legal persons. Entries of natural persons (sole traders and the other natural person legal forms on a fixed list of codes) and entries without a current company ID are left out. A record that a daily file changes into a natural person form, or whose company ID is removed, leaves the copy. Natural persons remain available through the live API.
• We normalised each entry to the EntityFeed record: the current name, address and legal form, the status, the founding and ending dates, the main activity code and up to five current free text activities. Statutory bodies, stakeholders and owners are not copied.
• Ended entities stay in the copy, marked inactive, as the register marks them with a termination date.
• The copy is rebuilt as a whole from each new monthly export and updated every day with the daily files. The date of the data and the date the copy was written are in source.attribution and in the section below.
• The original data is not otherwise altered. The data is informational and not legally binding.

A copy is flagged stale in API answers when its newest batch is more than 10 days old.
